She earned a degree in Business Administration from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) in 1991 and holds an MBA from INSEAD, France. From 2004 to 2008, Ms.Betts worked at TAM Linhas Aéreas S.A., a publicly held company in the aviation segment, where she held the position of Controllership and Strategic Planning Officer and was also in charge of the Investor Relations area, being responsible for the Company's strategic planning and for analyzing and making decisions on the Company's investor relations and control strategy, among other activities. She is an alternate member of the Board of Directors of Oi S.A., a telecommunications company. Oi S.A. is part of the economic group Jereissati Participações, the company's parent company.
