I’ve had a winding career path with a variety of roles and in- creasing responsibilities, from commercial real estate finance to business model innovation. Those experiences have al- lowed me to see a particular problem through many per- spectives. Since I took the role of leading our US business in 2015, I’ve been working to instill a customer mindset in everything we do, and we are seeing positive results. Today, we have greater visibility and accountability than ever before across our 70,000 customer interactions. Our US business grew significantly above the market at 7% in 2017, in the face of stiff competition. What are you most proud of (so far) in your career? What do you look forward to in the near future? As I look at the success of Zoetis over the last five years, I am incredibly proud to have contributed to the standup of our company - including a new global manu- facturing network strategy that would ensure our competitive- ness over the next 10 years. I look forward to serving our customers in even better ways going forward, including data- driven solutions that improve and personalize their care for animals. What skills would you say are imperative to good leadership and success? Do you have any examples that demonstrate this? Leadership starts with building trust among teams, sharing successes, and collaboration -- ensuring that the best outcome is everyone’s responsibility. A few years ago, we rolled out a new software platform to inte- grate business processes from across the company onto one system, and it was all hands on deck every day. We quickly learned where we had linkages and accountability among team members and where we had disconnects. What motivates you to achieve the best every day? I love what I do, enjoy the col- leagues I work with, and adore the industry that I’m in – it’s that simple. The opportunity to con- tinue growing our business in new areas keeps me going. What’s the culture you try to instill within your team? I try to build a culture of trust, empowerment and fun on
