Sari’s strong commercial instincts, engagement skills, and her capability to champion Can-Fite as an evolving and innovative biotech company has been an asset to the company. Responsible for negotiating and securing external funding for Can- Fite through strategic pharmaceutical partnerships, Sari has established high level relationships and is well networked within the pharma industry. Sari’s proven business development experience in biotechnology is a result of her expertise in biological therapeutics including pre-clinical and clinical drug development, combined with her experience in scouting for commercial and academic partnerships. To date, her efforts have culminated in regional in-licensing deals with leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide. Sari continues to advance the commercial interests of Can-Fite’s lead drug candidates Piclidenoson and Namodenoson in an effort the make them available to patients around the world who need safe and effective treatments. Sari lives with her two sons in Ganei-Tikva, Israel. With a smile, she describes her two boys as her two “startups”. Through her love and guidance, Sari helps her sons to fulfill their own dreams. Elai is almost 16 and Erel is almost 14. They both study at school and in parallel at the university. Elai plays the guitar and Erel the drums. Both are physically active, and Erel won the 2018 competition in Tricking, a form of martial arts. Sari’s own favorite workout is dance. Each day she trains through three short lessons of #balletbeautiful by Mary Helen Bowers. With all of these dance lessons being available online, Sari is able to practice anywhere, anytime, after work, at home, and around the world while travelling for conferences and meetings. ABOUT DR.
