FIRMPROFILE IDH is a leading consumer healthcare company in the Middle East and Africa with operations in Egypt, Jordan, Sudan and Nigeria and is proudly woman-led. A long track record for quality and safety has earned the Group a trusted reputation, as well as internationallyrecognised accreditations for its portfolio of over 2,000 diagnostics tests. From its base of over 480 branches, the Company will continue to add laboratories through a Hub, Spoke and Spike business model that provides a scalable platform for efficient expansion. The Company aims to be a leading healthcare provider in every community and region that it serves, becoming every doctor and patient’s first choice for quality, accurate diagnostic testing and cost effective services. One of IDH’s philosophies is its strict adherence to providing accurate and timely diagnostic services, which is why we accredit our laboratories through stringent international bodies such as College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The Company remains committed to its core values of providing patient-focused care, supporting and enhancing its medical staff’s education and training, acquiring and sharing information effectively, while developing and strengthening its relationships with patients employees and business partners. IDH is also bound to its ethical values that emphasize integrity and fairness, as it strives for superior operational and financial performance. With over 30 years of industry experience and strategic expansion, IDH has built a strong market position across products and geographies, with a scalable platform that is set for further strong growth. Beyond the counter-cyclical nature of the healthcare industry, the highly-fragmented and underpenetrated nature of IDH’s Middle East and African markets create a growth opportunity for the Group. There are powerful structural growth drivers in place that underpin a promising outlook for medical diagnostic services in these emerging regions, including: large, rapidly-growing populations; a high disease burden with an increasing prevalence of lifestyle-related medical conditions; and the heightened health consciousness of a rising middle class. IDH is well positioned to capitalise on these favourable industry dynamics with strong brands, a large suite of high-quality medical diagnostic services; and an asset-light business model that enables a wide geographic reach. 48 www. ceotodaymagazine . com Egypt CEO Today Bus i ne ss Women Awa rds 202 2 DR.
