CEO Today Business Women Awards 2023 NETHERLANDS ABOUT JEANINE Jeanine Tijhaar (1972) was appointed as member of the management board as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Eneco per February 2021. Jeanine Tijhaar joined Eneco in 2017 as CFO Netherlands and director Finance & Risk. From 2000 to 2016 she worked for Akzo Nobel, most recently as financial director of the business unit Vehicle Refinishes, where she was a member of the Executive Management Team. Prior to that, she was financial director of various other Akzo Nobel business units, both in Spain and in the Netherlands. She started her career in 1996 at DSM. She studied business economics at VU Amsterdam and obtained an International Executive Master of Finance & Control (Registered Controller) degree, a combined programme offered by the universities of Amsterdam and Maastricht. ENECO We have been active in the energy sector for over 100 years. Eneco’s roots go back to the 19th century. At that time, gas and electricity were produced on a ‘large’ scale for the first time and local energy companies were established. These local energy companies grew larger and merged in the 20th century. After a history of cooperation and mergers between the municipal utility companies of Rotterdam, The Hague and Dordrecht, the current Eneco was created in 1995.
